The Shootouts are known for their energetic mix of Americana, honky tonk & western swing, recently releasing their 3rd album, “Stampede,” co-produced by Ray Benson of Asleep at The Wheel. The album features appearances from Benson, Marty Stuart, Buddy Miller, Jim Lauderdale, and Raul Malo. Recently, the band was named a “Country Artist to Watch” by Nashville Scene and made their Grand Ole Opry and SXSW debuts. Stampede has spent over 13 weeks in The Americana Album Chart Top 10, peaking at #4.
LeRoy McQueen is a honky-tonk folk singer and songwriter based in Bloomington, Indiana. Born in the limestone country of Oolitic, Indiana, he cut his musical teeth in the punk rock scene of nearby Bloomington. After falling under the spell of Texas songwriters like Guy Clark, Billy Joe Shaver, Joe Ely, and Adam Carroll– he moved to Austin, Texas to hone his songwriting and performing skills. In his travels back to the Midwest, he's been joined alongside Sam Pierce on drums, Wes Eberhardt on bass, and Peter Doyle on electric guitar. An energetic performer with an unmistakable voice and vividly honest lyrics, LeRoy McQueen has an unmatched passion for bringing folk and country music into the 21st century.
